One folder from you. A sommelier under your label.
This page is the whole homework assignment. Gather the eight items below, send them over, and the build is ours. Your white-label tenant is configuration, not a software project, and it typically goes live the same week. There’s no IT lift on your side: the subdomain, the certificate, hosting, and updates are all handled.
Eight things, one afternoon.
Pick your subdomain
One short word: lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. It becomes yourname.somm.wine-hound.com, and it’s permanent, so agree on it internally first. You do nothing on the DNS side; we mint the address and the certificate.
Send us: the word
Your palette
The whole product reskins from sixteen color slots: the app, the emails, and the printable event kits all read from them. Send hex values if you have them, or just your brand guide and we’ll draft the sixteen and preview them with you.
Slots What they color bg · surface · fill Page background, cards, and subtle fills panel Dark panels: navigation, the login screen, email headers primary Buttons and key actions (your signature accent) secondary Handwritten accents and secondary highlights gold · goldSoft Warm highlights and gentle callouts head Headings ink · inkSoft Body text and muted text line · lineSoft Borders and dividers onPrimary · onGold · onPanel Text that sits on those filled surfaces The core text-and-background pairs are contrast-checked against WCAG AA before launch; anything that fails comes back to you with the closest passing shade proposed, so it gets fixed in the palette rather than shipped hard to read.
Send us: hex values, or the brand guide
Your logo
PNG, JPEG, or WebP under 200 KB. A transparent background reads best. It sits on your dark panel color in the app, at the top of every email your members receive, and on the masthead of your printed event kits.
Send us: one file
Persona, or none
You can give the sommelier a named voice (up to 40 characters: a mascot, a long-serving cellar dog, a house character) or run persona-free as a clean, professional tool. Named or not, it never pretends to be a person, and the name is data, so you can change your mind later without a rebuild.
Send us: the name, or “no persona”
Your tagline
One line, shown on the login screen. The welcome mat in words.
Send us: one sentence
Voice notes
Up to 1,000 characters on how you talk: words you love, words you never use, how casual to be. These tune the sommelier’s emphasis and vocabulary. They can’t override its tasting method, its honesty about what it doesn’t know, or its safety rules, so there’s no way to accidentally break it.
Send us: a short paragraph
The catalog spreadsheet
From the moment it’s loaded, every “what should I buy?” answer and every event plan recommends from your list alone: real wines, your prices, your buy links, verified server-side so the AI can’t invent a SKU. It’s one row per wine, and you can download the template to start:
Column Notes namerequired The wine, as it appears on your list producer Usually you, useful for second labels region Appellation or AVA varietal Grape or blend name vintage A year between 1800 and 2100; leave blank for NV pricerequired In dollars; 48 or $48.00 both work product_url The buy link on your site; every recommendation carries it in_stock yes / no; blank counts as yes Updates work the same way: send the full refreshed list and it replaces the old one, with no diffing and no drift. And skipping the catalog entirely is fine; recommendations then fall back to honest style-and-price guidance instead of your SKUs.
On Commerce7? You can skip the spreadsheet entirely. Point us at your Commerce7 and the catalog refreshes itself every night: new vintages roll in, sold-out bottles drop off, and nothing gets wiped if a sync ever comes back empty. The CSV stays available for anyone who prefers it.
Send us: the filled-in CSV, or your Commerce7 connection
Your admin & the credit line
Name the person who gets the usage dashboard. They’ll receive a single-use setup link (it expires in 14 days) and can watch how members use the sommelier. The admin guide is their one-page orientation. And tell us your “Powered by Wine Hound” election: showing or hiding the credit is set per your contract tier.
Send us: a name + email, and the credit decision
We build. You preview. It ships.
Your tenant is data, not a deploy. We configure it from your folder in under an hour of build time, then send you a live preview link. You click through it as a member would: sign up (everyone attests they’re of legal drinking age), scan a bottle, plan a dinner, print an event kit with your logo on the mat. When you say go, the subdomain flips live and you invite your members. Typical end to end: the same week, paced by your folder, not by us.
The ground rules.
Members’ rooms are theirs
Cellars, events, and guest lists are private to each member. Your dashboard shows aggregate usage, never an individual’s activity or email.
It recommends. You sell.
The sommelier never takes a payment or ships a bottle. Every buy link points at your store, and commerce, compliance, and shipping stay entirely with you.
Member access
Members sign up directly on your subdomain, with a birth-date attestation of legal drinking age. For launch windows and club moments we can mint invite codes, each with a use limit, and able to grant time-boxed trial access.
Folder ready?
Send it over and we’ll come back with your live preview link. Distributing more than one label? Read the distributor edition.
