Who we are

Wine Hound is a husband-and-wife team (Hannah and Sam) operating as Wine Hound LLC, a fractional consulting and software practice for wineries and wine-country hospitality. This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit wine-hound.com or send us a message. It covers this website only; our products, the AI Sommelier and Press, have their own terms and notices.

Information you give us

When you fill out a form on this site, we receive what you type into it:

Contact & homepage forms

Your email address (required), and optionally your name, winery or company, phone number, the topic you’re interested in, and your message.

Events inquiry form

Your email address (required), and optionally your name, the event format, approximate headcount, target date, city or venue, and any notes.

You decide how much to share. Email is the only field we require, so we can reply.

Information collected automatically

• We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool. It gives us aggregate numbers: page views, which pages are popular, rough referrer and country, device type, without cookies, without cross-site tracking, and without anything that identifies you personally.
• Like any website, our host keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security, troubleshooting, and operating the site.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers on this site, and our analytics is cookieless. That’s why you won’t see a cookie-consent banner. There’s nothing following you around to consent to. If we ever add measurement or advertising tools that use cookies, we’ll update this policy and ask for your choices first where the law requires it.

How we use your information

We use what you send us to reply to you, scope the right help, schedule a call, and deliver the services you ask about. That’s it. We don’t feed it into advertising systems, and we don’t sell it.

The service providers we rely on

We keep our toolkit small and reputable:

• Vercel hosts this website and provides the cookieless analytics described above.
• Resend delivers your form submission to our inbox as an email.

These providers process information on our behalf and only to provide their service. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and safety.

How long we keep it

We keep your message and our correspondence for as long as we’re in touch and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. Ask us, and we’ll delete it.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• see what personal information we hold about you,
• correct it, or
• delete it.

We do not sell or share your personal information, and we don’t use it for targeted advertising. To make a request, just reach out using the contact details below. We read everything ourselves.

Children

This site and our wine-related content are intended for adults of legal drinking age. It isn’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us, but no website or method of transmission is ever 100% secure. Please don’t send sensitive information, such as financial details, through our forms.

Visitors outside the United States

We’re based in the United States and process information here. If you contact us from elsewhere, you understand that your information is handled in the U.S.

If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above. We’ll call out meaningful changes.
