Private & Corporate Events

A nose for the right bottle, an instinct for the room.

Wine Hound brings the cellar, the pairings, and the storytelling to your table, for corporate dinners, client entertaining, and the kind of group nights people actually remember.

A flight of red wines poured at a vineyard-view table, a glass raised to the light

Hand us the occasion and the guest list. We track down wines that fit the food, the mood, and the budget, then pour, pair, and host, so you can stay in the conversation instead of running the bar.

Fifteen guests raise their glasses down one long table, tasting placemats and flights of wine at every seat, the two hosts standing at the back of the room

The Signature Evening

The whole night, fetched.

Some nights deserve more than a wine list. The Signature Evening is our full-service dinner party. We design the entire experience around a theme built for your group, then run it start to finish, so nobody on your team is working their own event.

We curate the wines and build a menu that pairs with them, course by course. We design the theme and carry it through everything guests touch: printed menus and tasting cards, table décor, seasonal flowers (cut from our own garden in summer), and a custom website built just for your event, where guests log their ratings in real time and play a blind-guess game on the final pour. Top score wins a bottle of sparkling.

Before the night, we make ordering effortless: you get a ready-to-order guide with the wine list, the grocery list, and the catering order, built so one person on your team can place everything in minutes. You control the spend; we make sure every dollar of it lands on the table.

On the night, we're your hosts. We set the room, coordinate and pick up the catering, plate and serve every course, and guide the tasting with stories and education between pours, from the first welcome glass to last call.

Want more? From time to time we can add extras like a house-made dessert or supplemental tableware. Just ask in the consult.

Or start smaller: three ways to put a glass in good hands

Pick one, or stack them into a single evening. Every format is built around your group, not a fixed script.

Pairings

Pairings for the table

For seated dinners and grazing spreads alike, we build a flight that moves with your menu, course by course, or bottle by bottle for a buffet. Your caterer cooks; we make every plate taste like it had a partner.

  • Course-by-course
  • Dietary-aware
  • Budget-matched
Education

Education that sticks

A guided tasting that teaches your group how to actually taste (structure, region, what they like and why) without the lecture-hall energy. Built for offsites, onboarding socials, and curious crowds.

  • Guided flight
  • Swirl–sniff–sip
  • No snobbery
Themed

Themed nights with a hook

Blind tastings, head-to-head regions, “guess the price,” decade-by-decade flights. Pick a theme or let us design one around your group. And we'll run it like a host, not a hall monitor.

  • Blind tastings
  • Head-to-head
  • House games

Every format can borrow pieces of the Signature Evening (the event website, printed materials, or a paired dessert) as add-ons.

Case study No. 001 · Over the Andes · July 2026

Your event gets its own website. Here's the one we just poured.

We're the sommelier team that also builds software, so every Signature Evening ships with a private site made just for your night. These screens are the real thing: Over the Andes, a six-wine South American tasting we hosted in July 2026 for a Kansas City leadership team event. Guests pulled it up on their phones, rated every pour as the night ran, and locked in blind guesses on the mystery final wine, sealed until the hosts sprang the reveal.

6 pours · 15 guests · Live ratings · 1 bottle of sparkling won
Event site story page: neon Wine Hound logo above the title Over the Andes and an elevation chart plotting six wines across the Andes
Event site wine page: Six wines, one journey heading above a wine card for the welcome pour with region and serving chips
Event site tasting form for a Malbec with flavor hint chips, nose and palate note fields, and a five star rating
Event site challenge pour quiz with no flavor hints: a checkbox list of flavors to identify in the mystery sparkling wine
Event site results page: winner card for the challenge pour, the answer key, and a scored leaderboard with demo guest names

The trail

How a private event comes together

Four steps from first message to last pour. We do the legwork; you take the credit.

  1. 01

    Consult

We learn the occasion, headcount, venue, menu, and budget, then shape the night around them.

  2. 02

    Curate

We hunt down the bottles and build the flight or program, sourcing for taste and price. For Signature Evenings, this is also where we design your theme, menu, and event website, and hand you a ready-to-order guide so placing the wine and catering order takes minutes, not meetings.

  3. 03

    Pour

We arrive, set up, and run the bar: glassware, service, and pacing handled.

  4. 04

    Host

We guide the tasting, tell the stories, and keep the room moving until the last glass.

Beyond the dining room

Some occasions want more than an evening. These we scope and price to the trip.

The Vineyard Retreat

Take the whole thing to the source.

We take your group to wine country and handle the parts that make destination events hard. We work directly with the vineyard owner to shape a visit built for your group (private tastings, cellar time, the conversations you don't get in a public tasting room) and coordinate the lodging so the whole trip books as easily as a dinner. Add a Signature Evening on-site, and the trip gets its own theme, event website, and final-pour game too.

  • Vineyard partnership & itinerary
  • Lodging coordination
  • Private tastings & cellar access
  • Optional on-site Signature Evening

Leadership, Poured

Executive facilitation, glass in hand.

We've spent years advising business leaders, and it turns out a shared table is where the good conversations happen. Add facilitated sessions to any event or retreat (strategy discussions, team alignment, leadership offsites), guided by hosts who've sat on the operator's side of the table. The wine gets people talking; we make sure the talking goes somewhere.

The fine print

Questions we hear before every event

How far in advance should we book?

Signature Evenings need three to four weeks minimum; the theme, menu, printed materials, and event website are all built custom. Tastings and paired dinners can sometimes land in under two.

Do you handle the food?

We design the full menu around the wines, recommend the caterer, and build the exact order for your budget. You place it (with our ready-to-order guide it takes minutes), so the food spend stays yours to control. On the night, we pick up, plate, and serve everything.

What if our venue is a home?

Perfect. Most Signature Evenings happen in one. We work with what the house has, coordinate proper glassware, and dress the space with décor and seasonal flowers. Need extra tableware? Ask. We can sometimes help.

How does the wine work?

We build the list to your taste and budget and hand you a ready-to-order guide with exact bottles, quantities, and where to get them, so anyone on your team can place the order in minutes. You buy direct, so there's no markup and you see exactly where your budget goes. Non-alcoholic and low-ABV options are always on the list.

Can we customize the game or the website?

Yes. Company branding, custom categories, team-vs-team scoring. It's our software; we can bend it.
